How does it work? Command-line crawlers look in the paths you specify and generate output files. The server ingests these files to provide full-text search and reporting. Here's how it looks with petrophysical LAS files:
The core parts of LogicalCat are free and open source. We provide a (Windows) installer that can be used for all of the data crawlers (las, seismic, shapefiles, etc.) and/or the browser-based search and reporting application. This self-extracting executable contains everything you need to get started. Click here for Linux installation info.
Only the project crawlers ( Petra, Kingdom and Discovery) are not included with the install. These are available at a fraction of the price you will encounter from other Oil & Gas software vendors...just $4900.00* per crawler type. Geoscience data management is difficult; we believe it's grown beyond old-school solutions that rely on people, process and policy. We also believe that people shouldn't suffer through tedious data management tasks that are better suited to computers—unless your company specializes in herding cats... :)
